I will be studying abroad in Scotland next fall!  Angela and Kevin are coming too, which is absolutely perfect.  I can't even wait to skiddaddle.  We [Angela and I] didn't get our dream vacation to Australia, but no worries.  That means I'll have time to go home after summer research and head early to the UK to be a tourist and see the Fringe.

February is so short.  I wonder why... ?

Life's been typical (or as typical as it gets around here).  Sets, quizzes, blue slips, interhouse volleyball, all the good stuff.  The term is over in a couple weeks, and I'll be off to Mexico with the Caltech Y to play with orphans and try and tidy the place up a bit.  Yea for sleeping on the floor and eating tons of granola bars and playing with children!!  I applied to study abroad next year in Scotland or London.  I'll find out soon if that's going to happen   Applied for a SURF/Amgen with Sessions on a cool geobiochem project for the summer.  More anticipation for that one.  And finally, Angela and I are submitting our proposal for the travel grant to spend a couple weeks in Australia during the summer.  This one's a bit of a long shot but researching and wiki-ing about it has made me absolutely giddy.

I think I might start blogging the old fashioned way (pen and pad).
